What we mean by numerology
Ephemeris, not vibes.
Pythagorean numerology reduces a date — or a name — to its recurrent digit shape. The Life Path comes from the date you were born; the Personal Year from your birth month + day + the current year; the Personal Month and Day from those plus today’s calendar. Master numbers (11, 22, 33) do not reduce; they carry their double-digit signal at higher cost.
The math is unromantic. The interpretation is where character enters — which is why Zodiacs reads numerology in the company of Western astrology, BaZi 八字 and Ziwei 紫微. A Life Path 7 with a Cancer Sun reads differently from a Life Path 7 with a Leo Sun, and the chart says so.
